Chennai, Oct. 29 -- The Severe Cyclonic Storm (SCS) Montha has crossed the AndhraPradesh coast early this morning and would weaken in the next six hrs Met office said.
In an update just now, it said the latest observations indicated that the the SCS crossedthe Andhra Pradesh Pradesh and Yanam coasts between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnamto the south of Kakinada close to Naraspur during midnight (2330 hrs) of October 28 and0030 hrs of today, October 29.
It is likely to move northwestwards across Coastal Andhra Pradesh and weaken into aCyclonic Storm during the next six hours.
