Lucknow, Jan. 7 -- A severe cold wave and dense fog continue to grip most parts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, this intense cold spell will persist in the state until January 8 without any significant change.
However, a slight relief from the cold is expected afterward, but this relief will be short-lived.
Senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh of the Lucknow Meteorological Center said that the cold conditions in the state will remain largely unchanged until January 8. After that, a decrease in the intensity of fog and a slight rise in temperature may provide some relief.
