Thiruvananthapuram, July 25 -- As several school buildings in Kerala are over 100 years old, the demolition of such structures will be expedited, State General Education Minister V. Sivankutty has said.
"Contractors who win the demolition bids are expected to demolish the buildings and remove the debris. However, in many cases, local self-government institutions have imposed excessive fees for the process, causing significant delays in demolishing the old buildings," the Minister said yesterday evening.
