Jaipur, Oct. 8 -- A number of persons were injured after a gas cylinders laden truck caught fire after hitting another vehicle along Savarda village near Dudu on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway late tonight.
The fire was so massive and intense that several cylinders blew up into pieces and the pieces spread with bangs and scattered in area about 2- 3 kms away along the road, an official spokesman said.
Injured were rushed to the SMS Hospital here where the emergency staff was kept on alert after information about the incident. Fire brigade teams succeeded in controlling blazes to some extent.
There was no report of loss of human life so far from the spot. However, the mishap caused a traffic jam on the busy highway.
