Bengaluru, Feb. 28 -- Seventh seed Shintaro Mochizuki ended Czech qualifier Hynek Barton's dream run at the 2025 DafaNews Bengaluru Open, knocking him out of the singles event at the KSLTA Tennis Stadium on Friday.

The 2019 Junior Wimbledon champion registered a 7-6(5), 6-3 victory to secure a place in the semifinals, where he will face Australian James McCabe.

Organised by the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA), the Bengaluru Open is an ATP Challenger 125 tournament with a prize pool of USD 200,000. It holds the distinction of being India's biggest international tennis event, with the champion earning 125 ATP ranking points.
