Dehradun, Dec. 30 -- At least seven people died when a bus they were traveling in plunged into a gorge in Almora district of Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) said. Injured passengers have been shifted to a local government hospital.
An SDRF statement said a passenger bus traveling from Bhikiyasain to Ramnagar met with an accident and fell into a gorge at Vinayak area.
According to the SDRF statement, around 18 passengers were reportedly in the bus when the accident took place. It said at least 7 people died on the spot while the injured were rescued and admitted to a government hospital in Bhikiyasain.
