Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 3 -- Seven fishermen who met with an accident after their boat capsized at sea, having set out for fishing from Neendakara on the night of August 1, were rescued by the Thottappally Coastal Police.

Upon receiving an alert that the boat was sinking, the police, despite adverse weather conditions, promptly launched a rescue operation, police said.

By maintaining constant communication with the fishermen on board, the police were able to determine their exact location. Braving strong winds and rough seas, the rescue team persisted in their efforts and continued the search without retreat.

By around 7 am yesterday morning, all seven fishermen were successfully rescued and brought back to safety.
