Shillong, May 11 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Sunday met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi and requested to have the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate or (CUET-UG) centres in Meghalaya or else to defer the examination for this year till the infrastructure is ready.
Sangma's request came a day after students from across the State, set to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) have voiced disappointment over the allotment of exam centres outside the State.
Sangma also asked the Union Education Minister to direct the National Testing Agency (NTA) to review and reallocate CUET-UG, 2025 centres for Meghalaya students within the state.
