Chennai, Jan. 5 -- In what could be seen as a major set back for senior DMK Leader andTamil Nadu Rural Development Minister I Periyasamy, the Madras High Court today dismisseda batch of writ petitions filed by him and his family members against the action initiated againstthem by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case.
The Minister and his family members moved the present pleas armed with the Supreme Courtorder, which has granted an interim stay in his favour after the Madras HIgh Court reversed theOrder of Special Court dealing with PCA cases discharged them from the case.
The petitioners also prayed for quashing the ECIR and further proceedings against them.
