Pune, Feb. 9 -- The speakers at the 14th Indian Student Parliament on Sunday highlighted on the sidelining of political ideology over personal interest and advocated the need for development of all sections of society with prime focus on marginalised communities.

Participating in a panel discussion on the topic "The Ideology of Indian Politics: Left, Right or Beyond Sight", Dr Kanhaiya Kumar, national in-charge of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), emphasised importance of truth and ideology in politics, arguing that Indian politics today is divided into two distinct forms: the politics of power and the politics of truth.
