Puri, March 5 -- Chief Administrator of the Sri Jagannath Temple, Arabind Padhee, has issued show-cause notices to three senior servitors for allegedly disrupting the temple's regular rituals on February 28, causing significant delays in offerings to the presiding deities.

Hundreds of devotees reportedly left without receiving Mahaprasad, and the delayed Mahaprasad that was eventually released had to be discarded.

The Suar and Mahasuar Nijog, responsible for preparing Mahaprasad for devotees, suffered financial losses due to the disruption and have threatened to escalate their protest if strict action is not taken against those responsible.
