Hyderabad, Aug. 12 -- The mortal remains of Sepoy Banoth Anil Kumar of the 23rd Maratha Light Infantry, who was declared a battle casualty, will arrive at the Air Force Station, Hakimpet, Hyderabad, at 2100 hours tonight aboard an IAF AN-32 aircraft from Srinagar.
From Hyderabad, the mortal remains will be taken to his native village, Suryathanda in Perupalli post, Singareni tehsil, Khammam district, Telangana. Sepoy Anil Kumar is survived by his wife, Banoth Renuka.
A military funeral will be held at his native place following the arrival of the body, with full honours to pay tribute to his service and sacrifice for the nation, a defence statement said.
