Mumbai, March 5 -- Breaking a losing streak of last three sessions, the BSE Sensex on Wednesday spurted 740.30 pts to close at 73,730.23 on strong Asian Market.

The Nifty faced its longest losing streak in three decades on Tuesday, because of global trade tensions from U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff imposition on key trading partners.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 254.65 pts at 22,337.30.

The Sensex opened in green at 73,005.37, rising 16 pts. It was rallied 944 pts at 73,933.80, days high, before closing at 73,730.23, surging 740.30 pts from its previous close.

The Nifty registered days high at 22,394.90 and low at 22,067.80 pts.
