Mumbai, March 24 -- Maintaining a winning streak intact for the sixth consecutive session on Monday, the BSE Sensex rallied 1078.87 pts at 77,984.38 following gains in Power, Bankex and Financial services stocks amid strong foreign capital inflows. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 307.95 pts at 23,658.35. The equity market remained in the green throughout the session, as the BSE Sensex opened strong at 77,456.27, up 551 pts. During the day it spurted 1202 pts at 78,107.23, the day's high, before closing at 77,984.38, advancing 1078.87 pts from its previous close.
