Mumbai, Jan. 30 -- The BSE Sensex remained firm for the third straight session on Thursday, advancing 322 pts to 76,855 in the opening session as buying was seen across the board.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 110.45 pts to 23,273.55.
The equity market was seen as strong as the Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 76,860.88 and 75,426.83 pts, respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 23,300.90 and 22,139.20 pts, respectively.
The mid cap moved up 0.81 pc and the small cap by 1.29 pc.
In 31 scrips, 26 advanced while 5 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 3.15 pc to Rs 8002.75, Powergrid by 2.85 pc to Rs 296, Bajaj Finserv by 2.39 pc to Rs 1832.20, and L&T by 1.89 pc to Rs 3514.20.
