Mumbai, Feb. 27 -- The BSE Sensex on Thursday advanced 104 pts to open at 74,706.60 on the strength of financial services and Telecommunications stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose marginally by 11 pts at 22,568.95.
The equity market opened in green today, as it was shut for the 'Mahashivratri' on Wednesday.
The Sensex registered intraday high and low at 74,834.09 and 74,557.80 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 22,613.30 and 22,530 pts respectively.
The Mid cap declined 0.52 pc and Small cap by 1.43 pc.
In 30 scrips, 9 advanced while 21 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 2.40 pc to Rs 1919.65, Bajaj Finance by 1.89 pc to Rs 8652.60, IndusInd Bank by 1.29 pc to Rs 1047.05 and HDFC Bank by ...
