Mumbai, June 25 -- The BSE Sensex today rose by 386.08 point to 82,441.19 in early trade, tracking positive cues from global peers as easing tensions in the Middle East following a tentative ceasefire between Israel and Iran lifted investor sentiment, traders said.
The Nifty too advanced by 113.10 pts to 25,152.45.
Sensex registered intra-day highs and lows at 82,481.00 and 82,369.39, respectively.
The Nifty registered a day's high at 25,167.00 and a low at 25,125.05 pts.
Midcap rose by 188.75 points, and small cap advanced by 257.92 pts.
All sectoral indices barring BSE Bankex, which was marginally down by 0.01 pc, were trading in green, with BSE Utilities being the top intraday gainer, up by 0.86 pc. Other gainers were commodities by...
