Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- The BSE Sensex on Monday spurted by 368 pts to open at 37,756.25 as renewed buying was witnessed in Oil and Gas, Power,Auto and Finance stocks.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange(NSE) too rose by 120 pts to 11,170.45.
The Sensex registered the intra days high and low at 37,810.37 and 37,544.05 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered the intra days high and low at 11,177.95 and 11,099.85 respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up by 1.71 per cent and Small Cap by 1.83 per cent.
In 30 scrips, 26 advanced while 4 declined.
The gainers were ONGC by 5.22 pc to Rs 72.50, Bajaj finance by 3.68 pc to Rs 3253.80, NTPC by 3.07 pc to Rs 87.30, Axis Bank by 2.90 pc to Rs 427 and Bajaj Finserv 2.61 pc to Rs 5950.
