Mumbai, May 26 -- The BSE Sensex on Monday further advanced 455.37 pts, crossing 82K level at 82,176.45 following extension of the trade talk deadline with EU by US President, Donald Trump, easing tariff fear amid a mixed trend in the global market.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) jumped 148 pts to 25,001.15.

As India becomes fourth fourth-largest economy by overtaking Japan, too boosted the sentiments of investors.

Registering massive gains of 769 on Friday, the day opened on a strong note at 81,928.95, up 207 pts. It remained strong throughout the session, as it spurted 771 pts at 82,492.24, day's high, before closing at 82,176.45, up 455.37 pts from its previous close.
