Mumbai, April 4 -- The BSE Sensex on Friday dropped 930.67 pts to settle at 75,364.69 on weak global cues amidst fear of global recession following the announcement of tariffs.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 345.65 pts to 22,904.45.
The day opened on a negative note at 76,160.09, falling 135 pts. It remained negative throughout the session. During the day, it tanked 1055 pts 75,240.55, day's low, before closing at 75,364.69, down 930.67 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered a day's high at 23,214.70 and a low at 22,857.45 pts.
Stocks that were badly hit were Metal by 6.34 pc, followed by Oil and Gas and Commodities by 3.89 pc each. Energy by 3.65 pc and Reality by 3.61 pc.
