Mumbai, May 27 -- Snapping a winning streak of last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Tuesday tanked 624.82 pts to settle at 81,551.63 on weak global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 174.95 pts at 24,826.20.
The NSE registered days high at 25,062.90 and days low at 24,704.10, days low.
High volatility was witnessed during the session.
Spurting over 1200 pts in last couple of sessions, the day opened in red, as the Sensex fell by 138 pts at 82,038.20. During the day it was nosedived 1055 pts at 81,121.70, days low, before closing at 81,551.63, sliding 624.82 pts as compared to its previous close.
