Mumbai, May 29 -- Snapping a losing streak of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Thursday regained 320.70 pts to close at 81,633.02 on the strength of Realty, Metal, and BSE Services stocks amid positive European and Asian markets.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 81.15 pts to 24,833.60
The NSE registered a days high at 24,892.60 and a day's low at 24,677.30 pts.
Despite high volatility, the equity market bounced back and closed in green today.
Tumbling down over 800 pts on Tuesday, the Sensex opened higher at 279 pts at 81,591.03 pts. During the day, it climbed 504 pts to 81,816.89, a days high.
it slipped 206 pts at 81,106.98 pts, but ended positive, only surging 320.70 pts from its previous close.
