Mumbai, April 23 -- Maintaining a winning streak intact for the seventh straight session, the BSE Sensex on Wednesday rallied 520.90 pts, breaching 80K level to close at 80,116.49 as buying was seen across the board along with firm global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 161.70 pts at 24,328.95.
Favourable,Q4 earning, strong foreign capital inflows and positive growth Outlook kept the market in top.
The Sensex opened on a strong note at 80,142.09, up 545 pts. During the day it was spurted 659 pts at 80,254.55, days high, before closing at 80,116.49, up 520.90 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high at 24,359.30
and low at 24,119.95 pts, days low.
