Mumbai, May 30 -- The BSE Sensex on Friday opened weak at 81,465.69, falling 168 pts on profit booking by local operators amid weak global cues.
The Nifty erased 21 pts at 24,812.60. Erasing gains of over 300 pts in the previous session, the Sensex slipped in early trade as selling was witnessed in realty, technology and IT stocks.
The Nifty registered a day's high at 24,847.80 and a low at 24,780 pts.
The midcap rose 0.23 pc and the small cap by 0.16 pc.
In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.
The losers were Infosys by 1.61 pc to Rs 1559.85, Tech Mahindra by 1.20 pc to Rs 1580.60, HCL Technology by 0.92 pc to Rs 1649.60 and IndusInd Bank by 0.62 pc to Rs 819.
