Mumbai, March 26 -- After seven sessions rally, the BSE Sensex on Wednesday declined 179.58 pts at 77,837.61 in opening session as selling as seen across the board.
While the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose marginally by 8.80 pts at 23,677.45.
The Sensex registered intra days high at 78,167.87 and low at 77,784.23 pts.
The Nifty registered days high at 23,736.50 and low at 23,614.70 pts.
The Mid cap eased 0.07 pts and small cap by 0.57 pc.
In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.
The losers were Zomato by 2.53 pc to Rs 204.50, Tech Mahindra by 1.10 pc to Rs 1441, Maruti Suzuki by 1.09 pc to Rs 11767.10 and NTPC by 1.08 pc to Rs 363.20.
