Mumbai, May 10 -- Snapping a winning streak of last three week, the BSE Sensex crashed 1,047.52 points or 1.30 percent to settle at 79,454.47 in a week ended Friday driven by escalating India-Pakistan tensions following drone and missile attacks by Pakistani forces

Nifty too tanked 338.7 points or 1.39 percent to settle at 24,008.

The equity market remained volatile during the week, as on Monday the Sensex rallied 294.85 points to 80,796.84 and the Nifty rose 114.45 points to 24,461.15.

Erasing gains, the Sensex on Tuesday fell by 155.77 points to close at 80,641.07, and the Nifty slips by 81.55 points to close at 24,379.60.
