Mumbai, May 28 -- The BSE Sensex on Wednesday remained weak, falling 94 pts to open at 81,457.61 as selling pressure was seen in consumer durable, FMCG and metal stocks despite positive global cues.
While the Nifty too improves 6 pts at 24,832.50.
Tumbling down over 600 pts on Tuesday, the equity market was seen under pressure in early trade, as the Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 81,608.18 pts and 81,351.31 pts, respectively.
The Nifty registered a day's high at 24,857.85 and a low at 24,765 pts.
The Midcap rose 0.12 pc and the Smallcap by 0.43 pc.
In 30 scrips, 14 advanced, 15 declined, and one was unchanged.
The losers were ITC by 3.38 pc to Rs 419.25, Titan by 1.09 pc to Rs 3552.50, Nestle India Ltd by 0.66 pc to Rs 2...
