The Sensex opened lower at 81,403.94 against its previous close of 81,444.66 and fell to an intraday low of 81,191.04. It recorded the day's high at 81,583.94
The Nifty registered the day's high at 24,863.10 and the day's low at 24,738.10
Mid-cap stocks fell by 1.64 pc and the small-cap declined by 1.77 pc.
