Mumbai, Feb. 24 -- The equity market remained negative for the fifth straight session on Monday as the Sensex dropped 793 pts at 75,517.36 in the opening session on weak global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 233.80 pts at 22,562.10.
All the stocks were opened in red.
The Sensex registered an intraday high and low at 75,907.04 and 75,483.97 pts, respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 22,668.05 and 22,548.35 pts respectively.
The Midcap declined 1.06 pc and Small cap by 1.23 pc.
In 30 scrips, 7 advanced while 23 declined.
The losers were HCL Technology by 2.81 pc to Rs 1653, Infosys by 2.40 pc to Rs 1771.50, Zomato by 2.19 pc to Rs 225.20, TCS by 2.01 pc to Rs 3709.80 and Tech Mahindra by 1.78 pc to Rs 16...
