Kolhapur/Satara, Oct. 25 -- In a shocking incident, a senior woman doctor working at Phaltan sub-district hospital of Satara district, committed suicide in a hotel after allegedly being raped four times by a Police sub-inspector, early this morning.
The police, in their version, said the woman doctor was mentally tense following a feud between police and health department from last month and she had warned that she would commit suicide, and today she took the extreme step and ended her life.
But after investigation, the case took a new shocking turn when police found a note written by her on her hand as "the reason for my death is PSI Gopal. He raped me four times and Prashant Bankar tortured me physically and mentally for four months".
