Kolhapur, March 26 -- Senior history researcher Dr Jaysingrao Pawar was passed away of old age ailments at a private hospital early this morning.
He was 85. Pawar was admitted at a private hospital from last few days for medical treatment but he was passed away during the treatment early this morning.
Dr Pawar, born on 30 December, 1941 in Tadsar village in Sangli district, who earned his MA and PhD degrees from Shivaji University. He started his researcher career under the guidance of the first Vice chancellor of Shivaji University and history researcher Dr Appasaheb Pawar.
He wrote more than 25 historical books including Maharani Tarabai, Senapati Santaji Ghorpade, Trace if the Maratheshahi, Rajarshi Shahu Smarak Granth and others.
