Hyderabad, Oct. 14 -- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) received a boost today with senior Congress leader Ali Masqati and former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Shakeela Reddy joining the party.
BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) welcomed the new entrants by offering them the party's traditional pink scarves at his residence in Nandinagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Masqati said he decided to join the BRS as it is a "truly secular party" working for the welfare of all communities under the leadership of KTR and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).
