Hyderabad, Jan. 4 -- Speakers at a seminar on "Central Government Policies - Impact on Persons with Disabilities" held at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Sunday called for sustained resistance to what they described as corporate-driven and communal policies of the union government, particularly those affecting rural livelihoods and persons with disabilities.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, T Jyothi, a member of the CPM Central Committee said the struggle would continue until the VB G Ramji Bill, which she alleged weakens the employment guarantee scheme, is repealed.
