Nagpur, Dec. 8 -- As the Winter Session of the Maharashtra Legislature begins in here today, security has been tightened across the state's second capital following intelligence alerts that the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) may attempt attacks in India.
Extra vigilance has been deployed around the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters at Reshimbagh, major religious places and other crowded locations.
A massive security arrangement has been put in place, with 10,000 police personnel, including five companies of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) and Home Guards, deployed across the city. In addition, AI-based surveillance systems will closely monitor movements throughout Nagpur.
