Imphal, Dec. 25 -- Security forces in Manipur have intensified search operations and area domination across vulnerable and fringe locations, resulting in the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition, police said today.

During operations near the Thangjing forest foothills under Churachandpur Police Station in Churachandpur district, officials seized a range of weapons, including one pumpi (approximately eight feet long), twelve pumpi shells, nine empty cases of 7.62x39 ammunition, one modified MP5 rifle with magazine and its ammunition, and one country-made single-barrel rifle.
