Imphal, Sept. 16 -- Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including four looted weapons, from the Kongba Maru hill range and adjoining areas under Sagolmang Police Station, Imphal East district.
The recoveries included one 5.56mm INSAS rifle with magazine, one 9mm pistol with magazine, two 303 rifles with magazines, one 12 bore single-barrel gun, 11 live ammunition of different calibers, and five live cartridges.
An active cadre of the proscribed outfit NRFM, was arrested from his locality by security forces. Two of his associates allegedly involved in extortion activities were also nabbed.
