Imphal, July 10 -- As part of its sustained crackdown on insurgent activity and to enforce law and order, security forces and police in Manipur have intensified search operations and area domination exercises in fringe and vulnerable areas across multiple districts.
These efforts have led to the recovery of arms, ammunition, and explosives, as well as the arrest of a militant involved in extortion yesterday.
Manipur Police officials today said a search operation in the K. Lhangnom area under Gamnom Sapermeina Police Station in Kangpokpi district resulted in the recovery of a firearm.
