Latehar, March 22 -- Security forces have intensified anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand's Latehar district, extending the campaign up to the Chhattisgarh border, officials said on Sunday.
Teams of district police, CRPF and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) are conducting coordinated operations in forest areas as part of efforts to eliminate Left Wing Extremism from the region.
SSB 32nd Battalion Commandant Rajesh Singh said the supply chain of Naxal groups has been disrupted and the forces are closing in on remaining cadres.
He said Naxals have limited options left and urged them to surrender and join the mainstream, assuring that those who lay down arms would be provided benefits as per government policy.
