Imphal, Nov. 20 -- In a major crackdown on illegal narcotic cultivation, Security Forces, in coordination with the Kangpokpi Forest Division, destroyed large poppy plantations covering nearly 53 acres in the Phailengkot and Makhan hill ranges within the Koubru Reserve Forest on Wednesday. The operations were carried out across six locations under the jurisdiction of Gamnom Sapermeina Police Station in Kangpokpi district.
