Imphal, Oct. 8 -- Security forces and Manipur Police have intensified their operations against insurgent elements and drug traffickers across the state, leading to multiple arrests yesterday.
Security forces arrested an active member of a proscribed group from Kongpal Khaidem Leikai under Porompat Police Station, Imphal East district. The individual was apprehended along with a mobile phone was seized from his possession.
In a separate operation, Manipur Police arrested another active member of a banned outfit involved in extortion activities from his residence at Kwakeithel Kongjeng Leikai under Singjamei Police Station, Imphal West district. A mobile phone and an Aadhaar card were recovered from him.
