Imphal, Aug. 6 -- Security forces carried out a series of operations across Imphal East and West districts leading to the arrest of suspects involved in arms smuggling and militant activities yesterday. Police said two arms smugglers were arrested from different locations in Imphal East district. The individuals were engaged in the smuggling and illegal sale of firearms, according to the officials. During the operation, security personnel seized a 9mm pistol along with a magazine, two live rounds of 9mm ammunition, a Vespa model scooter, two mobile phones, and an Aadhaar card from their possession.
