Hyderabad, Nov. 9 -- Security was beefed up across Telangana in view of Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya land dispute case on Saturday.

According to City Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar, a strong vigil has been stepped up in the communally sensitive areas since Friday night and a watch on select areas was kept to prevent any untoward incident.

Apart from the Old city in Hyderabad, security was beefed up in the other parts of state including Nirmal, Bodhan, Bhanisa, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Naryanpet and Nalgonda.

Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahamood Ali said last evening that people should maintain peace and harmony after the Apex Court Verdict on Ayodhya.
