Patna, Nov. 10 -- The Bihar government has made elaborate security arrangements for conducting free and fair polling in the second phase of elections in 122 assembly constituencies due tomorrow.

Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar told media here today that security has been tightened in the state and its bordering areas to ensure fearless voting.

Kumar said the police force will crack down on miscreants and those who spread violence. He said 1,650 companies of security forces have been deployed.

Apart from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), about 45,000 personnel of the district police force and a team of home guards will be deployed to man the election booths.
