Imphal, Sept. 11 -- Security Forces and Manipur Police have intensified counter-insurgency operations ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to the state on September 13.
In a series of coordinated actions since yesterday three active cadres of different militant outfits were arrested from Imphal West and Bishnupur districts.
The heightened security comes just days ahead of Prime Minister Modi's arrival in Manipur. The Prime Minister is expected to address a public gathering and review key developmental and peace initiatives during his visit.
