Kolkata, Dec. 8 -- Alert security agencies, including the BSF, guarding the Indo-Bangla border, have seized contraband brown sugar, worth over Rs 10 crore, seized more than Rs 10,000 Indian fake currencies, and arrested two suspects in separate raids from West Bengal's Malda district border, official sources said on Monday.
Sources said the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans, whilst on patrol, held a Bangladeshi national, identified as Md Razzowan from the Mahadipur International Land Port, with nearly Rs 20,000 counterfeit Indian currency.
Razzowan, who hailed from Khariyal village in Monaksha of Chapainawabganj district, had entered India on a valid passport and visa.
