Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 24 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said the State would firmly resist any attempt to undermine its secular and democratic ethos, while expressing deep concern over "attacks" on Christmas celebrations and "growing communal intolerance" in different parts of the country.

Addressing a press conference here, the Chief Minister extended Christmas and New Year greetings, describing Christmas as a festival that celebrates love, peace, sacrifice, fraternity and shared hope.

He said it was disturbing that even such celebrations were being targeted, with reports of attacks emerging from states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Vijay...
