Kolkata, Nov. 26 -- Celebrating Constitution Day, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday expressed her deep concern about alleged shrinkage of democracy in the hands ruling Centre and emphasised the need of safeguarding the hard earned system in the country.
"They do not know the value of democracy since they did not earn it when the countrymen fought for freedom and nearly 90 percent people were from Bengal and 10 percent from Punjab," the Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee said paying floral respect at the statue of BR Ambedkar at Red Road.
