Dharamshala (Himachal), Sept. 4 -- A second incident of landslide struck Akhada Bazar in Kullu today morning, causing the collapse of two residential houses and trapping several people under the debris.

Col. Baljinder Singh Commanding officer of 14 Battalion NDRF, told UNI here today that according to the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the landslide occurred around 6:35am. Initial reports suggest that at least dozen people may be trapped.

A team of the 14th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), led by Assistant Commandant Santosh, rushed to the site, Col Singh said. The team was already engaged in search and rescue operations at another landslide site barely 200 metres away.
