Shimla, Jan. 26 -- Weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh are expected to deteriorate from Monday onwards, with snowfall, hailstorms, thunderstorms, and cold wave conditions likely to intensify across the state.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow alerts, warning of a moderate to intense spell of snowfall and rain on Monday and Tuesday, particularly in major tourist destinations and high hill districts.

According to IMD, this will be the second major inclement weather spell to affect the state this winter. Himachal Pradesh is yet to fully recover from prolonged cold conditions and widespread black ice on roads, especially in higher and interior areas.
