Chennai, April 7 -- Scrutiny of a recored 7,600 nominations filed for the April 23 elections to elect the 234-member 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, began on Tuesday.

According to reports, the nominations of top leaders like Chief Minister and ruling DMK President M K Stalin (Kolathur), his son and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin (Chepauk-Tiruvallikkeni), the nascent Tamilaga Vetttri Kazhagam (TVK) Founder and actor-politician Vijay, who has entered the fray in his maiden electoral battle from two seats, and Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) Founder and another actor-director Seeman (Karaikudi) were found in order and were accepted.
